Here is the 20% of effort for 80% of benefits workflow most users run to get the most out of LinkedIn without putting your account at risk:

Find relevant leads

As you probably know, there are 100+ of ways to generate leads, and TalkToHumans supports many of them.

1. Dig into your own network

This is the most underrated source that most people overlook: you probably have 20 people you could message today without sending a single connection request. The problem is that LinkedIn doesn’t make it easy to leverage your existing network, but we do: You can use our MCP to ask your favorite AI tool to find leads matching your ICP within your network, then build a dedicated list

2. Find warm leads on LinkedIn

Here are boring but very effective ways to find leads directly on LinkedIn:
  • With a search of posts
Search for keywords relevant to your industry, then find posts from people talking about those topics. High-intent posts like “Comment X if you want Y” are especially valuable. People who comment on them, or react with specific reactions, are often great leads, and they give you a natural opening for your outreach. Open their profile, check whether they fit your ICP (interest signals ≠ ICP match), then import them and start a personalized sequence using the TalkToHumans smart embed. IMAGE
  • With a search of people
Search and filter by your ICP’s job title, location, company size, and other criteria. You can also use Sales Navigator if you need more advanced search capabilities, although it isn’t free.

3. Import or find leads from elsewhere

If you have a more advanced GTM stack, you probably already have lead lists in tools like Clay. You can easily import them into TalkToHumans using our MCP and use TalkToHumans as your execution layer. If you want an even more AI-native workflow, you can use tools like Parallel to find 10 relevant leads today, then import them into TalkToHumans.
Pro tip: if you have more advanced needs, like scoring every contact based on an ICP score, you can do that by creating a custom field called “ICP score”, then use our MCP to ask your favorite AI tool to score contacts by updating this field. You can then sort your contact views by this score to better prioritize leads.

Reach out correctly

With TalkToHumans, reaching out is easy. Using contact views, you can move from one conversation to the next using keyboard shortcuts like J and K, press Enter to open the chat panel, send your message, then continue to the next conversation in the queue. Here’s what it looks like:

Not connected yet?

Use a sequence template and personalize it for this specific person using the context sidebar and conversation history. Or simply send a connection request.

Already connect?

Simply send a personalized DM using the context sidebar and conversation history to write a relevant message, then schedule a follow-up in case they don’t reply the first time.

Have no idea what to write?

A surprisingly effective approach is to “just yap all day.” Simply tell people you’re happy to connect, that you’re always happy to share your experience, then ask how their week is going. That’s it. Trust us: you’ll naturally stand out, because today many people receive nothing but AI-generated pitch-slapping messages. We’re also writing a complete “what works best” outbound guide covering everything we’ve learned. We’ll link it here once it’s finished. In any case, the best advice is to experiment with different approaches every week, then iterate on the winners using the reply rates displayed for each template. For more advanced analysis, simply ask your favorite AI tool to analyze your past week’s conversations using our MCP.

How to keep conversations going

If you’ve done much outbound, you know that getting a reply is rarely the finish line. You need to keep the conversation going and keep it warm. This is where TalkToHumans shines the most. After all, it’s an inbox, so it makes it easy to prioritize conversations, gives you all the context you need to always send relevant messages, and, most importantly, lets you schedule in-context follow-ups after you get the initial reply, where many deals are actually buried. See Manage replies for more details.
