# 🧩 Smart embeds

Copy a LinkedIn URL, switch tabs, paste it into a CRM, then return to the profile. Nobody enjoys that workflow.

The smart embed puts TalkToHumans on the profile you already have open. Save the person, check the relationship, add notes or tags, and start a conversation without the tab dance.

## The profile panel

The Chrome extension adds a TalkToHumans panel to supported LinkedIn profile pages.

If the person is new, the panel shows **Import**. One click adds the profile to your TalkToHumans contacts.

If the person already exists, the same panel shows the context you need before acting:

→ tags → relationship status → the next sequence step, when one is active → notes from your workspace → a **Start conversation** action

You can create a tag or add a note from the panel. The context stays attached to the person when you return to the TalkToHumans inbox.

## The message sidebar

Click **Start conversation**, or use LinkedIn's native **Message** button when the smart sidebar is available. TalkToHumans opens beside the profile instead of sending you into LinkedIn's small floating chat.

The recipient stays fixed to the profile you opened. From the sidebar, you can:

→ write or review a message → insert a template → personalize variables → schedule a follow-up → apply a sequence → use AI actions → record a voice note

This is useful for cold outreach because the profile stays visible while you write. You see the person before you see the template.

## A simple profile workflow

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the right profile">
    Visit the person's LinkedIn or supported Sales Navigator profile in the Chrome profile connected to TalkToHumans.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Import or review">
    Click **Import** when the person is new. If they already exist, check the tags, notes, relationship status, and scheduled next step.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add the context you will need later">
    Add a tag such as `Warm lead`, `Candidate`, or `Partner`. Write a short note with the reason you care about the person.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Start the conversation">
    Open the message sidebar. Write from the profile context, then send, schedule one follow-up, or apply a sequence for this person.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Return to the inbox">
    Once they reply, manage the relationship from a focused inbox. The tags and notes you added on LinkedIn are already there.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Why this fits the inbox-first approach

Bulk campaign builders encourage you to finish the list. The smart embed keeps your attention on one person.

That extra moment makes it easier to catch a wrong role, stale assumption, awkward variable, or message that simply should not be sent.
