# 👤 Contact context

You know that "who is this again?" moment halfway through a reply? The right sidebar fixes it.

It keeps the person, company, notes, tags, and available profile details beside the thread. You get the context without opening 5 tabs and losing the message you were writing.

## Person context

Depending on the data available, the person tab can show:

→ Headline and about text.<br />→ Connection and follower counts.<br />→ Current and past experience.<br />→ Education and languages.<br />→ Locations.<br />→ Notes and tags.<br />→ Custom contact fields.<br />→ Email and phone lookup actions.<br />→ A link to the LinkedIn profile.

Press `M` from a conversation to open the member tab.

## Company context

The company tab can show:

→ Company description and website.<br />→ Industry and locations.<br />→ Headcount and employee count.<br />→ Founding date and follower count.<br />→ Notes, tags, and related contacts.

Press `C` to open the company tab or `W` to open the company website.

## Group conversations

In a group thread, switch between participants before adding a tag, note, or contact detail. Each person keeps their own relationship context even when they share the same conversation.

## Use the sidebar from a view

The same sidebar appears when you click a row in a contact or company view. This lets you research a list one person at a time without opening a new page for every row.

Use `J`, `K`, or the next and previous controls to move through the view while the sidebar stays open.

## Map your network

Contact views support a map layout when location data is available. Create or edit a contact view, choose **Map**, then filter by country, city, tags, company, or other fields.

Map view is useful for:

→ Finding people near an event or dinner.<br />→ Exploring a territory.<br />→ Reviewing where a network is concentrated.<br />→ Turning an enriched contact list into a geographic GTM asset.
