# 🔕 Mute conversations

LinkedIn lets you archive conversations, but there’s a catch: **as soon as the contact messages you again, the conversation comes back into your inbox.**

For conversations you no longer want to see, TalkToHumans lets you **mute them instead**.

A muted conversation stays out of your inbox, even if the contact sends you a new message.

  Muting only affects your TalkToHumans inbox. It does not change the conversation or its notification settings on LinkedIn.

## Mute a conversation

Open the conversation, click the **•••** menu in the top-right corner, then select **Mute**.

You can also press `H` without leaving the keyboard.

The conversation is immediately removed from your regular inboxes.

## Find muted conversations

Muted conversations disappear from every regular inbox and move to the dedicated **Muted** inbox:

Open the **Muted** inbox to review muted conversations:

This inbox is hidden by default. To show it:

1. Open the inbox settings.
2. Find **Muted**.
3. Make it visible in the sidebar.

## Unmute a conversation

Open the muted conversation, then:

* Click **Unmute** in the banner above the conversation.
* Select **Unmute** from the **•••** menu.
* Press `H` again.

The conversation can then reappear in your regular inboxes again.

**Sending the contact a new message also unmutes the conversation automatically**, whether you send it from TalkToHumans or directly from LinkedIn.
