# Content

> Find LinkedIn posts and import the people who engage with them

Use content endpoints to find LinkedIn posts and comments, and to import the people who comment on or react to them as contacts. Content and engagers come from a data provider, never from your LinkedIn account.

[List content](https://talktohumans.app/docs/developers/content/list-content.md) reads the posts and comments already in TalkToHumans: your own, posts imported with [Import content](https://talktohumans.app/docs/developers/content/import-content.md), and contacts' found with [Find content](https://talktohumans.app/docs/developers/content/find-content.md). It takes `filters` and `sorts` as JSON arrays, in the same shape as saved content views. Filters and sorts need exactly one account.

Use [Search posts](https://talktohumans.app/docs/developers/content/search-posts.md) to find other posts on LinkedIn by keywords, author, company, industry, mentions or date, 50 per page. Results aren't in TalkToHumans yet: import the ones worth it with [Import content](https://talktohumans.app/docs/developers/content/import-content.md), up to 10 URLs at once.

## Engagers

Use [Import content engagers](https://talktohumans.app/docs/developers/content/import-content-engagers.md) to import a post's commenters and reactions as contacts. Check the cost first with `estimate_only`. The import runs in the background and returns an `import_id`. While `status` is `running`, check [Get import progress](https://talktohumans.app/docs/developers/contacts/get-import-progress.md) after about five seconds. Running it again imports only new engagers.

Each post's engagers land in their own contact view: read them with [List contacts](https://talktohumans.app/docs/developers/contacts/list-contacts.md) and the post's `engagers_view_id` as `view_id`. Each engager gets a signal, with the comment text on comment signals.

Use [Track content](https://talktohumans.app/docs/developers/content/track-content.md) to check a contact's posts every day and import their new engagers into one contact view for that contact. It keeps spending credits on its own until you stop it with `enabled` set to `false`. Your own posts are tracked by the "Track my posts" setting instead.

## Signals

Contacts and companies return their `signals`: dated reasons to reach out now, such as a profile view, a comment or a reaction. Filter on them with `member.signals` in [List contacts](https://talktohumans.app/docs/developers/contacts/list-contacts.md).

Use [Create signals](https://talktohumans.app/docs/developers/contacts/create-signals.md) to add your own to up to 500 contacts at once, such as attending an event or downloading a guide. Sending the same `key` again updates its signal instead of adding one. Creating signals is free.

## Credits

Search, import, find and track endpoints use credits, unless the same data was fetched recently. When the workspace doesn't have enough credits left, they return `402` with the code `billing_insufficient_credits`. Check the balance with [Get credit balance](https://talktohumans.app/docs/developers/accounts/get-credit-balance.md).
